AFRICA WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM(AWEP)

is an outreach, educa-tion and engagement initiative that targets African women entrepreneurs to promote busi-ness growth, increase trade both regionally and to U.S. markets through the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), create better business environments, and empower African women entrepreneurs to become voices of change in their communities.

VISION

AWEP WEST AFRICA seeks to promote the equitable participation of women entrepre-neurs in the economy and their access to the productive resources of their countries.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives for which AWEP WEST AFRICA is established are to:

Empower Women Entrepreneurs to become part of the national and global network through market access provided by African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

MEMBERSHIP

AWEP West Africa is an umbrella organisation for all the National AWEP Chapters in West Africa and its members shall not discriminate against any individual for rea-sons of race, national origin, colour, religion, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, and/or ability status.
